In report which was published by the Business Standard claims that Flipkart is in touch with international original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to create new product models in high-selling categories like electronics for sale on its platform. Flipkart is in touche with Nokia and Motorola that plan to introduce TV models in the Indian market. Flipkart talk in adavance level to team up with Sansui and launch smaller home appliances, such as grinders, juicers, etc. too.
As per reports, the online e-commerce behemoth has decided to put to use all the manufacturers under its umbrella. These manufacturers are the ones who work for Flipkart’s home brands, MarQ and SmartBuy.
India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), said that consumer electronics sales were the biggest revenue contributor to e-commerce platforms. It had accounted for 48 per cent of total sales in the country. IBEF had also forecast that the e-commerce sector in India will grow to be worth $200 Billion by 2026.
