Reliance Jio on Friday said it will roll out a new offer for new and existing JioPhone customers from March 1. The JioPhone 2021 offer will give them access to up to two years of ‘unlimited’ services in the form of voice calls and data benefits plus a new JioPhone handset at a price of Rs 1,999.

Akash Ambani, Director, Reliance Jio had said, “There are still 300 million subscribers in India who remain ‘trapped’ in the 2G era, unable to access basic features of the internet, at a time when the world stands at the cusp of a 5G revolution. Since the last four years, Jio has democratized the internet and passed on the benefits of technology to every Indian. Technology no longer remains a privilege of a select few. The new JioPhone 2021 offer is another step in that direction. At Jio, we have and will continue to take bold steps to eradicate this Digital divide and welcome every Indian to join the movement.”
For internet data, you will get a monthly 2GB data for the two years. Once you have consumed the entire data, the Internet speed will be dropped to 64Kbps.’
Jio also offers the same benefits for 12 months for a price of Rs 1,499 under which customers can get a Jio Phone under the new 2021 offer and 12 months of unlimited services that will include unlimited voice calls and 2 GB high-speed data allocation per month.
Reliance Jio has also announced a new recharge offer for existing Jio users that will offer unlimited calls and 2 GB per month data for 12 months at a price of Rs 749.
