Sony launches HT-X8500 soundbar with Dolby Atmos – What All you Should Know

Sony India has launched Sony HT-X8500 Soundbar in India. This soundbar supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and connects to a Bravia TV wirelessly, over Bluetooth. The X8500 has eARC support for high quality audio codecs to pass through from your TV to your soundbar.

“Dolby aims to enhance every moment you are experiencing entertainment and communications – including in your home,” said Ashim Mathur, Senior Regional Marketing Director, Emerging Markets, Dolby Laboratories. “Dolby and Sony collaboratively are working to ensure Indian consumers can enjoy the best content on devices that bring the listener into the story.”

“Sony HT-X8500 soundbar is designed to enhance the audio to complement the TV viewing experience,” said Hidenori Hino, Business Head, Audio, Sony India.

The soundbar comes with two sub-woofers, which are integrated into the centre of the soundbar to deliver good bass. At the ends of the soundbar there are two full-range drivers, which simulate a 7.1.2 channel audioexperience with the company’s own Vertical Surround Sound technology.

Priced at Rs 29,990, the HT-X8500 soundbar has a powerful built-in dual subwoofer in the centre to experience deep bass sound, the company said in a statement.
